About this notice
This notice covers the WeReady Labs website and the Shorey map prototype hosted with it. WeReady Labs is a Barbados-based initiative. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@wereadylabs.org. Updated 24 October 2026.
Information handled by this website
The website has no account-registration, payment or photo-upload form. The Shorey map uses sample content. Its preview buttons do not enrol you in WhatsApp updates or send photos. Search text, beach selections and demonstration votes stay in the page’s memory and are not submitted to WeReady Labs.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address, message and attachments. We use it to answer your enquiry, discuss collaboration and maintain relevant correspondence. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or photos of other people without permission.
Hosting and external services
The hosting service may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and security logs to deliver and protect the website. Google Fonts supplies fonts. The map loads MapLibre from unpkg, map tiles from CARTO, and illustrative images from Unsplash. Those providers receive connection information when their resources load and may process it outside Barbados. Their own privacy notices apply. Directions open Google Maps only when you select that option; email links open your email service.
Use, sharing and retention
We do not operate advertising or analytics scripts on this website. Correspondence may be handled through our email provider and shared with people who need it to respond to your request, or where required by law. We retain correspondence only for as long as needed for its purpose and applicable record-keeping obligations. Hosting and external-service records follow the relevant provider’s retention practices.
Your choices and rights
You may ask about personal information held in connection with your enquiry and request access, correction or deletion, or raise an objection, as applicable under Barbados law. Email hello@wereadylabs.org; we may need proportionate information to verify the request. Some requests may be subject to legal limits. You can also contact the Barbados Data Protection Commission.
Future Shorey services
A live contribution or WhatsApp service will need an updated notice explaining what is collected, how photographs and location data are used, applicable permissions and retention. This prototype does not ask for those permissions or collect those submissions. Changes to this notice will be dated on this page.
